Analytical Services, Inc. Celebrates 5th Annual GEM Class Selection
HUNTSVILLE, AL – February 20, 2009 – Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) today announced ten employees were selected for the 5th annual Guided Entrepreneurship Model (GEM) training program. Employees selected are Tom Burleson, Frank Califf, Tom Coburn, Buddy Creek, Garry Dilmore, Michael Dunn, Melissa Kilgore, Mimi Kirkland, Shannon Nelson and Missy Smith.
As a corporate training initiative, GEM is a seven month program that introduces employees to leadership development skills and promotes synergy between various business units and operational groups. Applicants are selected based on an application process and various corporate criteria requirements such as professional competency, demonstrated leadership, promotion of ASI culture, and growing company capabilities. Additionally, each GEM class completes a class project. The class can choose from three types of projects, employee-based, community-based, or customer-based, which are inspired by the company’s three prong logo.
Discussion topics are timely and sessions are updated each year to provide a more robust curriculum. This year the speaker focus was broadened to include more speakers from the industry, government and community.
