Analytical Services, Inc. Acquires Stone Engineering Company

Deal expands ASI’s high-end aerospace engineering capability providing customers with unparalleled solid rocket propulsion and structural expertise

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – September 3, 2006 –  Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) today announced the acquisition of Stone Engineering Company (SEC), a nationally recognized provider of solid rocket propulsion and structural engineering services.  Stone Engineering will operate as Stone Engineering Division and will be a part of ASI’s aerospace engineering business unit.  Based in Huntsville, Alabama, SEC brings propulsion and structural engineering and analysis capability in virtually every existing Army missile program and the Navy’s long-range ballistic missile system. 

SEC is a national authority in all areas of solid propellants and solid rocket motor design and development.  The acquisition expands ASI’s existing engineering analysis capabilities and enables the company to provide a highly specialized, niche propulsion and structural engineering capability to current and future customers. SEC brings experience working with domestic and foreign governments and the U.S. defense industry.
