DISA Awards Analytical Services, Inc. $2.1 Million Task Order
Deal Calls for Information Security Services at Systems Management Center
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – June 21, 2006 – Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) today announced a task order award from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) Systems Management Center (SMC) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. Awarded under the General Services Administration (GSA) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) contract, ASI is teamed with Integrated Computer Solutions (ICS) to provide information security services.
The task order period of performance is one year and includes up to four additional option years. Under the contract, both ASI and ICS will provide information security services to ensure reliability and integrity of information, proper recording of transactions, safeguarding of assets, compliance with policies and procedures and achievement of operations goals and objectives, and effective and efficient use of resources. A second important area of support involves helping the DECC SMC assess IT-related risks associated with achievement of financial reporting, operational and compliance objectives, and recommending changes that strengthen IT, business process controls and operating effectiveness.
Denny Green, ASI vice president of information technology and management stated, "Information assurance and surety of finance and accounting software through SAS-70 audits are a critical and growing requirement within the government as well as industry, and this is an opportunity to provide mission critical support to our customer and expand our credentials in this market."
