ASI has received external recognition for our quality management system, including ISO 9001:2000 registration in 2003, recertification in 2008, and Capability Maturity Model Integration appraisal in 2004. We look forward to being certified on the new ISO standard, ISO 9001:2008, in October of 2009. We continue to operate in accordance with CMMI, and are currently preparing for a company-wide CMMI Maturity Level 2 Appraisal planned for the third quarter in 2009.

Due to our efforts successfully implementing and executing our QMS, ISO and CMMI initiatives, in 2007, ASI was awarded the Alabama Quality Award Level I Commitment to Excellence. This award, modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, recognizes and honors organizations whose past or recent innovations in the areas of production, service, or management have resulted in increased productivity and quality. We are pursuing the Alabama Quality Award Level 2 for 2010.
